Dr Julie Norman is an Associate Professor in Politics & International Relations at University College London (UCL), and a researcher/consultant on conflict, peacebuilding, and political violence. She is also a Senior Associate Fellow of International Security at the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI), and the coordinator of UCL's Israel-Palestine Initiative.

An expert on the Middle East and foreign policy, she is a frequent commentator on the BBC, CN, Al Jazeera, and other media outlets. She is the author of six books, including a forthcoming book on Gaza.
